The Bob Cooper Band standard configuration is four performers, two guitars, bass player and drums. One of our performer doubles on flugel horn, which allows us to offer jazz and swing sounds as well as solo options on, pop tunes we play. Three of the performers sing lead vocals to offer a variety of vocal sounds. The three voices are often combined for vocal harmonic enhancement.

Adding a Saxaphone Player: As an option, for an additional investment we can add a tenor saxophone player to give the group an even more diverse sound with harmonic horn lines. The addition of the saxophone enhances the band’s sound allowing for a big band and rock band with horn section sound.

Bob Cooper Band Light: This is Bob with one of the band members or one of our close musical friends playing as a duet for your occasion. Maybe you're not looking to party out all night but want something a bit more subtle but unique and fun. Then you want our duet option.

Generally this would be two guitarist with vocals, and a splash of flugel horn thrown in playing many songs from our normal sets but additional songs that we add that are more appropriate as background music for a smaller event. This option allows you to have live music at a very affordable price. The song mix is more for listening, background, and dancing than our normal party mix. This is a great option for a smaller party setting that might occur for a birthday or engagement party, or just a neighborhood back yard get together.

Wedding Ceremony Music: Often times the wedding ceremony is held at the same location as the wedding reception. With this situation musical options may be limited without coordinating additional performers. The Bob Cooper Band is made up of music teachers and performers that are extremely diverse. We offer the option of using our talents for the ceremony as well as the wedding reception. Our standard ceremony format is to supply an electric guitar, played classically, along with the flugel horn. However, a small brass trio or a combination of brass and woodwind instruments is available.

Master of Ceremony Services: the band provides a cordless microphone for your guests to use while speaking or giving toasts. In addition, Bob Cooper will act as master of ceremony to insure the all your formalities come off without a hitch. We will continually work to communicate with your venues coordinator and photographer to keep formalities and activities flowing and to efficiently utilize the event’s time. This communication often starts long before the event begins by offering you our experience as you develop an itinerary for the event. We will often review your itinerary and discuss possible improvements or schedule enhancements or options.

Lighting Enhancements: The band comes with enough par lighting to adequately light the stage area as well as improving the ambiance of the dance floor with modest dance lighting. As an option, we offer a rotating mirrored ball and spotlight for creating a soft visual appearance on the dance floor during specific dances. Lighting is supplied if needed and if adequate electrical power available.
